Rachel Brandenburger, Senior Advisor and Foreign Legal Consultant to Hogan Lovells US LLP (Admitted in England & Wales), New York Recognized as a leading international antitrust and competition law and policy advisor, Rachel Brandenburger is licensed as a foreign legal consultant in New York and admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. She became a Senior Advisor to Hogan Lovells U.S. LLP in 2014, based in New York. From 2010 to 2013, Rachel was Special Advisor, International to the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, based in Washington, D.C. She advised on many Antitrust Division matters that involved extensive cooperation efforts between the Antitrust Division and its international counterparts. Before that, Rachel was a partner for 21 years in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Based in the firm's Brussels and London offices, she led many high-profile and complex cases involving investigations into mergers, anti-competitive practices, monopolization or dominant positions, and cartels before the European Commission, the UK, and other competition and regulatory agencies around the world. Rachel is a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network and a frequent speaker and writer on international antitrust and competition law and policy issues. She has been appointed to a 2017 Visiting Law Fellowship at St. Hilda’s College, University of Oxford.
